Giving back to our local communities is a big part of the holiday season at SIG, and we were proud to contribute to making the holidays a little brighter again this year. Our employees donated to programs across the globe, like the Saint Vincent de Paul Giving Tree, Chicago’s Angel Tree Program, Toys for Tots, Bryn Mawr Hospital’s Adopt-A-Family Program, and New York’s Holiday Food Drive for City Harvest.

One of our favorite yearly traditions at SIG is the holiday party, and this year, each of our offices celebrated with their own unique event. In Sydney, our party was filled with oysters, wagyu sliders, a MC, and even a few magic tricks. In Philadelphia, we enjoyed cocktails and dancing at the Logan Hotel, and in Dublin, our new photo booth and music from DJ Anthony Collins were big hits. Our New York team gathered at Pier A for a raw bar and sliders, while our Chicago team celebrated at Pinstripes on the Chicago River for delicious food and a bowling game or two. Each of our parties give us a chance to catch up with each other and make new connections.

Team SIG embraced the rain at the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge®. This year’s record-setting race boasted 8,335 runners from 341 companies taking part in the 5.6km race at Sydney’s Centennial Park. The Challenge is a chance for our SIG Sydney team to mix a night out with fitness and a little friendly competition.

Back by popular demand, our much-anticipated Under 30 vs. Over 30 soccer match took place over the weekend. The Under 30s, who haven’t won the annual game since 2013, came out quick with a goal in the first 5 minutes of play. After a competitive match, the Under 30s were able to drive home their win, ending the match with a score of 5-1. Congrats to all of our SIG players!

We celebrated Halloween with our SIG kids at both our Dublin and Bala offices. In Dublin, our group of superheroes, witches, vampires, and more were treated to face painting, balloon animals, and a magic show. In Bala, we saw a lot of Star Wars and woodland animal costumes, and enjoyed some trick-or-treating, topped off with spooky sugar cookies from Whipped Bakeshop. Happy Halloween!

Team SIG recently participated in the annual Simon Fun Run. The rain cleared just as the race kicked off, allowing SIG employees, our family members, and even a dog or two to complete the race! Proceeds from the run benefit the Dublin Simon Community, an organisation that works to prevent and address homelessness in Dublin and the surrounding areas.

It was a beautiful morning as SIG employees and our families participated in The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Parkway Run & Walk. The race is one of the largest 5Ks in Philadelphia with proceeds benefitting pediatric cancer research at CHOP. Team SIG, the largest participating team since 2011, showed up 700+ strong! We enjoyed spending the morning with our families out in the community.

Our summer Code Camp was a success! We welcomed our employees’ children to an on-site coding camp taught by Lavner Camps. Building off of our first camps in February, where SIG kids learned “Computer Programming with Scratch,” we hosted a weeklong camp focusing on “3D Innovation & Design with Minecraft.” During breaks, the campers enjoyed playing in our game room – our video game lineup was quite the hit! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these young coders!

It was a great showing at this year's SIG Night at the Ballpark with 700+ employees (our largest crowd yet!) cheering on the Phillies. The game's opening pitch was thrown out by our own Jerry Yass, and two SIG employees even won the chance to go on a behind the scenes tour of Citizens Bank Park prior to game time. Back on the Scoreboard Porch, we enjoyed our favorite ballpark food and drinks while we watched the Phillies take the lead and win the game over the Giants in the 12th inning.

At this year’s Dublin Summer Party, we were treated to a great evening at the beautiful Radisson Blu St Helen’s Hotel. For our competitors, the “Carnival Challenge” offered the chance to play a series of games throughout the night in exchange for “prize money,” and for those who wanted to relax, we snacked on delicious food and sat back to enjoy the EURO 2016 Quarter Final match on a big screen.
