Showing our Holiday Spirit

In the spirit of the holiday season, we celebrated by giving back. Employees teamed up to fulfill holiday “wish lists” for the Bryn Mawr Hospital’s Adopt-A-Family program, donate toys to the Saint Vincent De Paul Holiday Appeal and The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program, and to purchase 50+ bikes and helmets for local children in need through Toys for Tots.

SIG on Campus

We've had a busy few months visiting schools across the country. We kicked things off with talks from one of our founders, Jeff Yass, at the Harvard and Penn Algorithmic Research Clubs. Next, we were off to the biannual Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament, hosting a mini-event called “The Mathematics of Poker and Games” for the students. The event featured an estimation game, a talk by World Series of Poker bracelet winner Bill Chen, and prizes. Speaking of prizes, the first winner of our $5,000 Half Court Shot Contest scored big at the Brown men's basketball home opener and students from different schools participated in our MindSumo coding challenge, where they took home prizes of up to $150 for their applications. We enjoyed meeting students on campus and wish them the best of luck on finals!

Sydney Corporate Challenge

Sydney Corporate Challenge

Team SIG recently participated in the Corporate Challenge run in Sydney. The race brought in a record number of runners this year – over 8,200! – from 355 companies. We were proud to gather with our co-workers to celebrate workplace fitness and make a difference for the Indigenous Marathon Project, an organization that provides an opportunity for indigenous men and women to run the New York Marathon. Congratulations to all of the participants!

There is not much better than taking in a summer ballgame with friends.
