Drexel University students contribute to the day-to-day activities in SIG’s trading, technology, operations, and private equity teams. We hire nearly 100 students as co-ops each year and offer them both hands on experiences and classroom learning opportunities.

Education

Throughout your co-op experience at SIG, you are offered classes that further familiarize you with our business, the markets, and professional tools that will benefit you in any career path you pursue.

Business Co-ops

Our Business co-ops support SIG's success in markets by contributing to varying roles both on and off the trading floor. You will help to manage trade settlements, calculate profit and loss reports for our trading desks, and assist with research publications and the dissemination of essential reports. Our Growth Equity and Private Equity co-ops work closely with our deal team in identifying, contacting, and evaluating potential investment targets.

Technology Co-ops

Technology co-ops at SIG get to learn about technology in a complex environment while also gaining real world, hands-on work experience. Our teams use a variety of platforms (Linux and Windows) and programming languages (primarily C++, C#, and Python). We hire first, second, and third time co-ops into many different teams, including Software Development, Infrastructure + Engineering, and Support.

SIG Perks

We offer many services and amenities to our co-ops. We have a relaxed work environment where casual dress is encouraged including jeans, sneakers, and shorts all summer long. SIG has three fully stocked kitchens where breakfast and lunch are served daily, and snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. You are also able to use the SIG gym for workouts and fitness classes. You are invited to participate in the social activities SIG hosts throughout the year, including baseball games, holiday parties, and outings in the Philadelphia area. You can also use SIG discounts to local restaurants, museums, travel and other attractions.
