We love Philly

When you come here, you’re joining a cohort of people from around the world, all of whom have chosen to call the Philadelphia area their home. Here are a few reasons why we think you’ll love Philly, too.

Affordability

Comparing the rent here to NYC, DC, Chicago, and San Francisco, you’ll get way more bang for your buck in Philadelphia.

Food Scene

Between James Beard Award winning restaurants, top-rated options from pizza to vegan, and Reading Terminal Market, our 125 year old historic public market, and you won’t go hungry in what Travel + Leisure calls the East Coast’s “Best Food City.”

Outdoors

There are 300+ neighborhood parks, including Fairmount Park, a 2,054 acre gem with over 50 miles of designated trails, just around the corner from our office.

Building a Community

Building Community

Building a community of women is important to us. We host annual Women's Discovery Days in the US, Ireland, and Australia, with the goal of connecting students to women at SIG, all while gaining insight into working here. We bring women together at our office, with gatherings like happy hours and networking dinners, and our SIG Dublin Women's Network.

To give students the opportunity to picture their career in technology and finance, we sponsor organizations and events like:

  • Grace Hopper Celebration
  • GirlsHack
  • Women Engineers Code (WECode)
  • MIT Queens' Full House Poker Tournament
  • The Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
  • Women in Computer Science (WiCS)
  • Women Making a Difference in STEM (WiSTEM)
  • I WISH Showcase

Jen, Head of Research

"Early in my career, I had to learn to let go of the fear of being wrong and focus instead on making well supported trading recommendations. Perfection is an impossibility, so accepting things won't always go your way is key to success."
